Tissue scattering and the effect on SHG imaging

Abstract

We investigate the formation of in-vivo SHG images for two matrices consisting primarily of similar collagen typeI arrays, fascia and tendon. The image quality depends strongly on the scattering properties of the immediate tissue environment.
