Abstract
Ultra-high Q resonators immersed in H<sub>2</sub>O have a lower Q than those in D<sub>2</sub>O due to the higher optical absorption. By monitoring the cavity-Q, concentrations of .0001% (1ppmv) of D<sub>2</sub>O in H<sub>2</sub>O have been detected.
