Abstract

Adaptive optical elements are of great importance for various applications including imaging, sensing, signal processing, filtering, and switching. Optofluidics technology enabled to realize such a “knob” function by either actuation, fluids mixing, and fluid delivery to implement adaptive focusing, spatial scanning, wavelength scanning, aberration corrections, and compensation for fabrication tolerances. In this talk we present some of our recent works on optofluidics for adaptation and sensing applications.
