Extending Wavefront Sensing Capture Range for Segmented Systems through Tip and Tilt Estimation

Abstract

Once wavefront aberrations exceed a certain threshold value, phase retrieval algorithm convergence suffers greatly. We can overcome this problem by estimating segment tip and tilt values from the difference between a computed PSF and the measured PSF.
