Chromophore alignment during plasma polymerization to produce stable poled polymers

Abstract

A process has been developed that applies an alignment field during plasma polymerization. Chromophore alignment is accomplished during plasma induced polymerization producing a poled polymer with long term stability without the need for hermetic packaging.
