Wavelength Tuning in Birefringent Laser Crystals by Their Own Birefringence: A Theoretical Approach

Abstract

Recent experimental works have confirmed the possibility to achieve wavelength tuning in birefringent laser crystals by their own birefringence. Here we present a theoretical model able to explain the main properties shown by these systems.
