Novel OCT Contrast Agent Based on Suspensions of Plasmon Resonant Nanoparticles

Abstract

To improve OCT to yield better anatomical and functional imaging, an appropriate contrast agent was developed using tunable plasmon resonant structures of gold. Spectral and morphological characterization and imaging examples using tissue phantoms are presented.
