Novel Coded High Density Optical Disk Data Storage

Abstract

A coding concept for optical storage to facilitate recording and readout multiple bits of data at a single micro-pit is presented. Preliminary experimental results demonstrated its feasibility. Potential storage density could be Tbits/in2.
