Finite-difference time-domain analysis of self-focusing in a nonlinear As2S3 film

Abstract

By using a finite-difference time-domain method, we studied self-focusing effects in a nonlinear Kerr film and experimentally measured this phenomenon on thin-films with high second order nonlinearity using a Near-field Optical Microscope.
