Self-Induced Pulsations in a Laser-Diode-Pumped Highly-Doped Nd:YAG Ceramic Laser

Abstract

Dynamic instabilities are demonstrated in a laser-diode-pumped microchip Nd:YAG ceramic laser with high Nd concentration. A variety of self-induced pulsations featuring different frequencies were observed depending on the grain structure of the pumped area.
