Coherence and polarization properties of far-fields generated by quasi-homogeneous electromagnetic sources

Abstract

The concept of a scalar quasi-homogeneous source is generalized to electromagnetic theory and coherence and polarization properties of the far-field, generated by such a source are discussed. The results are applied to spatial light modulators.
