Electro-Optic Waveguide Based on Hybrid Sol-Gel Doped with Organic Chromophore

Abstract

This paper reports the material processing, waveguide fabrication, and electro-optic properties of hybrid sol-gel doped with a large hyperpolarizability chromophore. High electro- optic coefficient and stability are demonstrated, and electro-optic intensity modulation is presented.
