Analysis of FM mode-locking in fiber lasers

Abstract

We use numerical and quasi-analytic techniques to investigate the FM mode-locking properties of a recently constructed tunable, high-repetition-rate, ytterbium fiber laser. Several fundamental properties of FM mode-locked fiber lasers that have not been studied in the past are also investigated using the two techniques.
