Spatiotemporal modulational instabilities and colored conical emission in a quadratically nonlinear medium

Abstract

Spatiotemporal modulational instabilities were demonstrated to cause colored conical emission via second harmonic generation. The dependence on the pump intensity of the conical emission wavelength presented a clear signature of the spatiotemporal effects.
