Abstract

Controlling the symmetry of an array of subwavelength apertures as well as the aperture aspect ratio and relative orientation, surface plasmon polariton transmission peaks can be enhanced relative to the spectra. Two arrays with high aspect ratio apertures were milled on top and normal to each other creating color-switching structures.
