Abstract
We describe a tunable filter suitable for whitelight interferometry, utilizing an high-finesse extrinsic Fabry-Perot interferometer formed by fusion bonding of two mirror-coated single-mode fibers to a short piece of borosilicate tubing. Wavelength tuning up to 90.8nm is achieved using a Peltier device. Experimental results for a temperature sensor are presented.
