X-junction based in two real dark spatial solitons

Abstract

We present a crossing of two optical waveguides acting as a controllable optical beam splitter. When each dark soliton is immersed into its own bright background, the device can not operate because the backgrounds act as a low-pass filter and because the onset of the cross-phase modulation instability effect.
