Abstract

Fiber-optic delivery of femtosecond laser pulses permits the development of miniaturized, flexible two-photon microscopes. A major obstacle has been pulse-broadening caused by fiber dispersion and non-linearities. Here we utilize a novel hollow-core photonic crystal fiber for undistorted transmission of high-energy femtosecond pulses at 810-nm center wavelength from a Ti:sapphire laser.
