Abstract
One can reconstruct an image of a coherently illuminated scene from an array of diffracted intensity measurements, without imaging optics, by using a phase retrieval algorithm. By illuminating the scene with a specially shaped coherent light beam, the robustness of the phase retrieval algorithm is greatly improved.
