Synthetic aperture, holographic, chirped confocal process

Abstract

We describe a confocal imaging process using monochromatic, spatially coherent light. An unfocussed beam illuminates an object plane, and a stationary detector records a hologram. The image formed from the hologram is scanned, creating an image equivalent to the basic confocal image.
