Abstract

We present a method for performing quantitative spectroscopy of superficial tissue volumes. We have employed a two-layer model, for which the upper, high-scattering layer's optical properties are known, to recover the optical properties of phantoms. The interrogation depth for the proposed probe geometry is estimated to be less than 250μm.
