Abstract

For tissue optical properties of μs 4~10 mm−1, μa 0.01~0.25 mm−1 and g=0.84, the surface spatially resolved diffuse reflectance for diffusion theory were compared to Monte Carlo predictions. For source detector separations of 0.5~3 mm, the absolute percent errors ranged from 0 to ~30%.
