Modeling of light scattering by B-cells using a parallel FDTD method

Abstract

We have developed a parallel FDTD code to simulate light scattering distribution from B-cells. The 3D internal structure of the B-cell was constructed numerically using images from a confocal microscope and the correlation between cell morphology and distributions of scattered light was established.
