Abstract

The performance of digital interference holographic system is improved for microscopic imaging of biological tissues. Tomographic imaging of subsurface tissue structure is demonstrated for microscopic plant and animal tissues. The imaging process consists of holographic recording at a multitude of wavelengths followed by numerical superposition of 3D diffraction fields.
