Polarization dynamics of multimode bipolarized solid-state lasers

Abstract

The model of a multimode bipolarized laser is developed. The interaction of different longitudinal modes is described within the rate equation approach, whereas the interaction of each pair of orthogonally polarized modes with identical longitudinal index is described taking into account phase-sensitive modal interaction. Comparison with experimental data is made.
