Abstract

Spatial coherence properties and polarization properties of electromagnetic beams which are transmitted by a liquid-crystal spatial light modulator, acting as a polarization-dependent random phase screen with prescribed statistical properties, are examined. Our analysis is based on a recently developed unified theory of coherence and polarization.
