Spectral invariance on propagation

Abstract

It is known that so-called scaling-law sources generate fields whose normalized spectrum in the far-zone is the same as the normalized source spectrum. We show that such spectral invariance holds in the paraxial region and in the far-zone even when the field propagates through the turbulent atmosphere.
