Abstract

We study the interaction between quasi-modes in dielectric cavities of stadium shape. We show that the dependence of two coupled modes on the cavity deformation can be described by the coupled-level model, and extract the complex coupling constant. Depending on the value of the coupling constant we observe several kinds of quasi-mode evolution.
