Phase-locked 17.3-fs pulses through chirped pulse optical parametric amplification

Abstract

Chirped pulse optical parametric amplification of CEO phase-stabilized, 1.7-nJ, 11.6-fs pulses from a Ti:sapphire oscillator yielded 77-pJ, 17.3-fs pulses with the CEO phase lock preserved. A full numerical 3D study predicted single-pass amplification to 97 pJ and compression to 12.7 fs.
