Abstract

Optical phase conjugation combined with appropriate dispersion mapping is effective in compensating intra-channel nonlinearities in pseudolinear systems, without the need for signal power symmetry. Results of optical phase conjugation in 40 Gb/s long-haul transmission systems with different modulations formats and conjugator locations are presented.
