Abstract

The ionization dynamics of a two-electron atom in highly-intense laser pulses is investigated. Employing a model atom of reduced dimensionality, we are able to take into account non-dipole effects in the weakly relativistic regime. The interplay between both electrons strongly alters the ionization dynamics as well as the stabilization effect.
