Abstract

The design, fabrication, and characterization of an InP based AWG for Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexing (CWDM) is presented. An S-shape design is utilized to accommodate the large free spectral range required for CWDM. The AWG has four channels with 20nm spacing centered at 1525nm. The crosstalk is less than -10dB.
