Abstract

We study the effect of delayed Raman response on soliton collisions in WDM transmission. Taking into account the stochastic character of pulse sequences in different channels and the Raman cross talk we show that the soliton amplitude and frequency are lognormally distributed, and that fluctuations are important in the transmission.
