Abstract

Useful applications of optical microring resonator technologies require the development of a robust fabrication platform. Some of the issues to be addressed when microrings are developed for high-order filtering include refractive index contrast, loss and fabrication control. High quality filters have been realized up to 11-order ring resonators.
