Abstract

Novel chiral-core waveguides from chiral single molecules, identified as ML-224 and ML-226, Fig. 1(a), were investigated. These materials possess negligible linear birefringence in thin solid films, as desired for chiral waveguides that may find use for polarization control in integrated optics [1], [2]
