Phase manipulation for coherent control

Abstract

We will discuss the phase manipulation of ultrafast pulses for the control of quantum systems. Using a learning control algorithm, we extract details of the control over electron wavepackets with attosecond precision. Also, we show that nonlinear pulse shaping extends molecular control to very high frequency ground-state vibrational modes.
