Abstract
Frequency selective surfaces (FSS) are periodic arrays of apertures in a conducting sheet or conducting patches on a dielectric substrate. Such structures have been used at microwave wavelengths for many years to selectively reflect or transmit a desired range or band of frequencies. As technology progresses, these structures are finding more and more applications in infrared and optical wavelengths.
