Abstract

The various waveform distortions generated by intrachannel nonlinear interactions in pseudo-linear transmission are reviewed, as well as the way such distortions relate to 2R and 3R regenerators. Experimental results on 2R and 3R at 40 Gb/s over 1,000,000 km are presented.
