Abstract

A solar adaptive optics (AO) system is developed for the 60 cm domeless solar telescope at the Hida Observatory in Japan. In the AO system, a deformable mirror with 97 electromagnetic actuators is used and a Shack-Hartmann wavefront sensor is implemented with a 2000fps-CMOS camera and a 10x10-microlens array. Solar images observed with AO demonstrate better contrast and finer structures than those without AO.
