Abstract

SpIOMM is an imaging FTS designed to obtain the visible spectrum of every astronomical light source in a 12 arcminute field of view. It is attached to the 1.6-m telescope of the mont Mégantic Observatory in Québec. We present here some results highlighting SpIOMM’s capabilities to map astrophysical objects, including galactic nebulae, supernova remnants and nearby galaxies.
