Performance Characteristic of Enhanced Gas Detection Based on Laser Intra-cavity Absorption

Abstract

The sensitivity enhancement at multiple wavelengths is investigated for fiber intra-cavity gas detection. Dynamic gain control and cascaded gas cells are used to enhance the laser absorption. The minimum detectable acetylene concentration is 9.4 ppm.
