A Harmonic X-ray FEL Oscillator

Abstract

A hard X-ray free electron laser oscillator operating at 5th harmonic frequency driven by a 4 GeV superconducting linac is compared with the high-gain amplifiers producing self-amplified-spontaneous-emission in photon performance and the facility scale.
