Abstract

Optical signal processing on the nanoscale may be achieved via the use plasmonic components, which exhibit considerable promise in their ability to confine and route electromagnetic energy. Moreover, dynamic control of plasmonic signals in real-time remains a significant challenge, both in terms of switching speed and energy required. Overcoming this hurdle is essential in the development of an integrated, nanoscale optical platform.
