Abstract

Aluminum ion optical clock transition at 267.4 nm is insensitive to blackbody radiation and without electrical quadruple shift. This makes aluminum ion an excellent choice for optical clock. In this paper we report our recent progress on building an aluminum ion optical clock at Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
