Abstract

The sub-diffraction light confinement by Surface Plasmon Plariton (SPP) waves opens possibilities of efficient nonlinear interactions and sensing [1], Along with theoretical studies, basic planar plasmonic structures were recently realized experimentally, including waveguides and waveguide-based devices [2], and nano-scale optical devices [3, 4].
