Vertical profiles of aerosol’s extinction coefficients observed by lidar with a spatial resolution of 7.5m revealed different haze-layer structures of aerosol distribution in Wuxi city. With surface monitoring of PM10, PM2.5 and Black Carbon (BC) simultaneously, the vertical characteristics and mechanisms of pollution in lower troposphere in Hinterland of YRD region was studied with a profile-analysis method. Lidar was proved to be an effective tool for the further study of complex pollution in China.
