Laser-based monitoring of HCN from patients with Pseudomonas infection

Abstract

A simple Off-Axis Integrated Cavity Output Spectrometer and compact telecom laser has been developed for HCN (detection limit 4 ppbv, 1 s). This allows monitoring of breath from infected patients paving the way for future clinical implementation.
