Chirp reduction utilizing phase squeezing property in PPLN-based phase sensitive amplifier

Abstract

The phase squeezing property in a PPLN-based phase sensitive amplifier was utilized to reduce frequency chirp in a 40Gbit/s NRZ signal generated by an EA modulator. Chirp reduction was confirmed by the improved dispersion tolerance.
