11.25Gb/s 64-QAM-encoded real-time end-to-end optical OFDM transmission over 800m OM2 MMFs with a power penalty of <1dB is experimentally demonstrated, for the first time, in simple IMDD systems employing un-cooled directly modulated 3.63GHz VCSELs.
