Integrated Dispersion Compensator Based on SOI Tapered Gratings

Abstract

The realization of an integrated drop-filter based on tapered Bragg gratings for the compensation of the chromatic dispersion is presented. The device permits the compensation of a dispersion of 500 ps/nm over a WDM channel.
